The Art of Getting By (2011)

Freddie Highmore plays George, an existential high schooler who refuses to do homework because "we're all going to die anyway." Emma Roberts is Sally, the girl who makes him reconsider everything. It's peak 2011 indie aesthetic - rooftop conversations, Brooklyn vibes, and teenagers who are way too articulate.

The film is basically an extended Tumblr post about teenage nihilism and first love. You'll either relate too hard or roll your eyes. Probably both.
